Technical Estimating Manager – Manchester

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (Office Based)

The opportunity is with one of the UK's leading contract kitchen specialists, supplying high-quality kitchens to the construction sector nationwide. Offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Kitchen Estimating Manager to lead the estimating function and oversee the technical delivery of projects.

This is a management role responsible for leading the Estimating Department, managing departmental performance, ensuring technical accuracy, overseeing order processing and delivering commercially competitive tenders on time. The successful candidate will lead the Estimating team while driving continuous improvement across departmental processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Estimating team.
• Preparation of accurate estimates and costings using SMART software.
• Review and approve kitchen designs, product specifications and technical documentation.
• Manage order processing from design approval through to supplier ordering.
• Allocate workloads and ensure all tender and project deadlines are achieved.
• Ensure all quotations, drawings and specifications are commercially and technically accurate.
• Liaise with Sales, Project Management and Suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Manage supplier pricing and support commercial negotiations.
• Maintain high standards of document control and departmental procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement, develop the team and improve departmental performance.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous management experience within a contract kitchen estimating or technical department.
• Experience using SMART software is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Winner CAD or similar design software.
• Excellent understanding of kitchen design, estimating and order processing.
• Strong commercial awareness and technical knowledge.
• Organisational, leadership and communication skills.
• Experience within the German or Dutch kitchen market would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
