Job Summary

Keystone Resourcing are delighted to have partnered with a leading kitchen showroom in the Bristol area who are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Design Assistant to support our kitchen design team within a busy showroom environment.


This role involves working across both retail and contract projects, assisting with the design process, managing orders, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for kitchen design and interiors, looking to develop their skills within a collaborative and customer-focused business.


Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Assisting designers with the development of kitchen layouts and design proposals
  • Supporting client consultations by preparing visuals, samples, and presentations
  • Producing technical drawings and design amendments using relevant software
  • Accurately processing customer orders, ensuring all specifications are correct
  • Checking and validating measurements, product details, and pricing
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of orders, quotes, and project documentation
  • Liaising with suppliers to place orders, confirm availability, and track deliveries
  • Resolving any order discrepancies, damages, or delays efficiently
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
  • Acting as a point of contact for customer queries, providing updates and support
  • Contributing to maintain a high standard of showroom presentation


Our client is looking for someone who has:


  • Previous experience in a design, interiors, or showroom environment
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in order processing and specifications
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with design software (e.g. AutoCAD, SketchUp, Winner, Fusion)
  • A highly organised and methodical approach to work
  • A customer-focused attitude with a professional and friendly manner
