Job Summary

Keystone Resourcing are working with a leading distributor of security and access control systems (gates, barriers, automatic doors, shutters etc) who are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to identify new opportunities, generate qualified leads, and convert them into profitable installation and ongoing service agreements. This is a national role with the ideal candidate being based centrally in the UK.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Generating new business opportunities across installation and maintenance services


  • Conducting detailed site surveys and preparing accurate cost proposals using agreed pricing structures and margin expectations


  • Producing clear and comprehensive project briefs to ensure seamless handover to installation teams


  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat and ongoing business


  • Recording all opportunities and sales activity within the company CRM system to enable forecasting and performance analysis


  • Providing regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates to senior management


  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through clear communication and accurate scoping of works


  • Supporting company growth objectives and contributing to wider commercial strategy


  • Staying informed of industry developments, compliance requirements, and product innovations


  • Promoting service and maintenance agreements alongside installation sales


The ideal candidate will have:


  • Proven experience surveying and selling automated gates, barriers, industrial doors, shutters or similar access control systems


  • Demonstrable success in front-line sales with strong conversion performance


  • Experience in preparing accurate quotations based on site assessments


  • Professional and confident approach when dealing with clients


  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills


  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously


  • Self-motivated, energetic and results-driven


  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering what is promised


  • Customer-focused mindset


  • Additional technical or sales experience within related sectors is advantageous


In return, our client is offering the following package and additional benefits:
