Our client is an established professional services firm providing a broad range of accounting, audit, tax, corporate and advisory services to local and international clients. The firm combines extensive industry experience with a professional, client-focused approach and maintains high standards of integrity, confidentiality and quality.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a range of Tax and VAT matters, provide advisory support to clients and supervise junior members of the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional looking to take greater ownership while developing their advisory and leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Undertake Tax and VAT assignments across a portfolio of clients
- Ensure compliance with applicable Tax and VAT legislation and regulatory requirements
- Prepare, complete and submit relevant tax forms and statutory filings
- Provide Tax and VAT consulting and advisory services based on client requirements
- Communicate effectively with clients, professional associates and relevant authorities
- Liaise with the Cyprus Tax Department and other authorities on client-related matters
- Allocate assignments to junior team members and supervise their work
- Mentor, train and provide ongoing technical support to junior colleagues
- Monitor assigned work to ensure accuracy, quality and timely completion
- Support clients with Tax and VAT queries and provide practical, technically sound guidance
- Participate in additional projects and assignments as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or another relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Tax and/or VAT experience
- ADIT qualification will be considered an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of Cyprus Tax and VAT legislation
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and their application to Tax and VAT matters
- Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Previous experience supervising, mentoring, coaching or training junior professionals
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure
- Resourceful and proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of assigned work
