Job Summary

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Work-mode: Hybrid (1 day working from home per week)

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus

Working Hours: Flexible start between 8:00am – 9:00am, Monday to Friday. Monday–Thursday finish between 4:30pm – 6:00pm, depending on start time and lunch break (30–60 minutes). Friday finish between 2:00pm – 3:00pm.

Salary: Up to €39,000 gross per annum (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)


Our client is a well-established professional services firm providing accounting, audit, tax and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients. The successful candidate will manage a diverse client portfolio, oversee day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities, and supervise junior members of the team. The role combines technical accounting expertise with client relationship management, team development and responsibility for the successful delivery of client engagements.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of local and international clients
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, transaction recording, reconciliations and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS
  • Supervise, coach and provide ongoing support to junior members of the accounting team
  • Review, prepare and authorise VAT returns, VIES forms and other statutory submissions
  • Prepare and analyse management reports, budgets, forecasts and financial statements
  • Ensure accounting work and statutory submissions are completed accurately and within required deadlines
  • Liaise with local authorities and external stakeholders as required
  • Provide clients with guidance on accounting, VAT and compliance matters
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and high-quality service delivery
  • Take responsibility for the timely billing and collection of client fees
  • Identify and resolve accounting and compliance matters arising across the client portfolio
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another related discipline is desirable
  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • More than 5 years of accounting experience within the Accounting Department of an audit or professional services firm
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Cyprus tax legislation and VAT regulations
  • Experience using eSoft accounting software will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines
  • Previous experience supervising or supporting junior accounting professionals
  • Strong client relationship management and interpersonal skills
