Job Summary

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Cyprus

Work mode: On-site

Salary: €1,450 – €1,800 gross per month, paid in 13 salaries (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)


Our client is an established professional services firm providing a broad range of corporate, accounting, audit, tax and advisory services to local and international clients. The firm combines extensive industry experience with a professional, client-focused approach and maintains high standards of integrity, confidentiality and quality.


The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities across a portfolio of clients, including reconciliations, VAT and VIES returns, payroll, invoicing and payments. This opportunity would suit an organised accounting professional who is comfortable managing their responsibilities independently while working as part of a collaborative team.


Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bookkeeping and accurately record transactions within the accounting system
  • Maintain organised and up-to-date accounting records and supporting documentation
  • Prepare bank and other account reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns
  • Process payroll and maintain relevant payroll records
  • Issue invoices and process payments as required
  • Ensure accounting activities comply with applicable accounting standards and principles
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment and labour laws and regulations
  • Assist with general accounting and administrative matters as required
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by management


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, LCCI Higher Level, or another relevant qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous accounting experience
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Good understanding of VAT, VIES and payroll processes
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Professional, responsible and proactive approach to work
