Salary: Up to €2,000 gross per month, paid in 13 salaries (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)
Our client is an established professional services firm providing a broad range of corporate, accounting, audit, tax and advisory services to local and international clients. The firm combines extensive industry experience with a professional, client-focused approach and maintains high standards of integrity, confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring regulatory compliance, reviewing client KYC and risk assessments, maintaining internal AML procedures and reporting to senior management and relevant authorities. This is a key position requiring strong technical knowledge, sound professional judgement and a high level of integrity.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the company’s operations and activities comply with applicable laws, regulations and regulatory directives relating to Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (ML/TF)
- Regularly review, assess and report on compliance matters, monitoring any required corrective actions
- Design and maintain internal practices, measures, procedures and controls for the prevention of ML/TF in line with policies established by the Board of Directors
- Monitor and assess the effective implementation of AML policies and procedures
- Identify weaknesses or deficiencies in existing AML controls and provide appropriate guidance and corrective recommendations
- Examine and evaluate relevant information and prepare reports to MOKAS and ICPAC where required
- Prepare monthly and annual compliance reports for submission to the Board of Directors
- Review KYC documentation and assess client business activities to determine compliance risk and classify clients as High, Medium or Low Risk
- Provide recommendations regarding the acceptance or rejection of prospective clients based on compliance and risk considerations
- Ensure periodic client reviews are completed in accordance with applicable requirements and internal policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date KYC and due diligence documentation across client files
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal departments and relevant authorities on compliance-related matters
- Maintain the required CPD and remain informed of developments in AML/CTF legislation, regulation and best practice
- Promote a strong culture of ethics, compliance and professional standards throughout the organisation
- Perform other compliance-related responsibilities as required
Requirements
- University degree in Law, Business or another relevant discipline
- AML certification
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge and practical application of AML legislation, KYC requirements and transaction reviews
- Excellent knowledge of Company Law, GDPR and other relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
- Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken
- Strong computer literacy and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- High standards of professional ethics, integrity and quality
