The successful candidate will play a key role in managing tax engagements, providing technical guidance on advisory projects, mentoring junior team members, and supporting a portfolio of local and international clients. This position offers exposure to a broad range of tax matters, including corporate taxation, international tax planning, restructurings, tax due diligence, and cross-border advisory projects.
Responsibilities
- -Manage the day-to-day delivery of tax engagements, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed deadlines
- Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns, tax computations, and supporting schedules
- Provide technical guidance on tax advisory projects, including restructurings, tax due diligence, tax risk assessments, and cross-border tax matters
- Conduct research on Cyprus and international tax legislation, double tax treaties, tax circulars, and emerging tax developments
- Support tax audits and enquiries by preparing analyses, drafting responses, and liaising with relevant authorities
- Review work prepared by junior team members and ensure compliance with professional and internal quality standards
- Mentor and support Tax Consultants, providing technical guidance, constructive feedback, and professional development support
- Prepare and deliver client presentations, proposals, and tax updates
- Collaborate with colleagues across different service lines to deliver integrated client solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Law, or a related discipline
- ACA, ACCA, CPA, ADIT qualification or equivalent
- 6-8+ years of relevant tax experience within a professional services environment
- Previous exposure to international clients is essential
- Strong technical knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation and international tax principles
- Experience managing multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Fluent in English; additional languages will be considered an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
