Job Summary

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Work-mode: Hybrid (2 days working from home per week after probation)

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus

Salary: €1,500 - €1,800 gross per month (13 salaries - negotiable)


Our client is a well-established professional services firm based in Cyprus, licensed as an administrative services provider (ASP) regulated by ICPAC. It provides accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of local and primarily international clients.

They are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join its team in Nicosia.


The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting day-to-day bookkeeping operations, and assisting with financial reporting and VAT-related tasks for a portfolio of clients.


Responsibilities

Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients

Record financial transactions, invoices, payments, and reconciliations

Perform bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations

Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns

Maintain and update accounting records using accounting software and CaseWare

Laise with clients regarding accounting information and documentation requests

Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes

Ensure compliance with internal procedures and accounting standards

Support the accounting and audit teams with ad-hoc duties where required


Requirements

Previous experience in a Bookkeeping or Accounting role (ideally 1-3 years)

Experience using any book-keeping software and CaseWare for financial statements preparation is essential

Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles

Experience preparing VAT returns and reconciliations

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Strong communication skills in English and Greek

Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
