Our client is a well-established and highly regarded personal injury law firm based in New York, with a strong reputation for achieving exceptional outcomes for plaintiffs across a wide range of complex cases. The firm is deeply committed to client advocacy, employs a team of skilled legal professionals, and operates with a rigorous, expert-led approach to litigation strategy.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to bring on an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to manage a full caseload from intake through to resolution — working within a supportive, high-performing team environment.

A compelling opportunity for a driven plaintiff-side attorney who is passionate about client outcomes and wants to work somewhere that takes litigation strategy seriously.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a full personal injury caseload from intake to resolution, including depositions, motions, trials, hearings, negotiations, and settlement closings
  • Apply expert-led litigation frameworks, including agility reviews, focus group testing, and strategic case refinement
  • Collaborate with experts and support staff to build high-value, compelling arguments across personal injury, accident, labour law, and premises liability matters
  • Lead negotiations and leverage trial preparation to maximise case value
  • Provide exceptional client communication throughout the life of each case
  • Appear as legal counsel at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions, and litigation proceedings
  • Manage a team of paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, and legal secretaries
  • Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, and other legal documents
  • Gather and review insurance policies, medical records, medical expenses, and other case evidence
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across the firm's case management system

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active New York State Bar admission
  • Minimum 5 years of experience representing plaintiffs in substantial personal injury litigation
  • Trial experience across wrongful death, medical malpractice, personal injury, or civil litigation — essential
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury and tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil law, and medical malpractice
  • Exceptional communication skills — written, verbal, and in negotiation
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a demanding caseload across multiple matters simultaneously
  • Proficiency with case management systems and legal research tools
  • High-initiative, results-driven mindset with a genuine passion for client advocacy

Benefits

  • 401(k)
  • Profit-sharing on caseload settlements
  • Health insurance
  • Free on-site parking
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities
