Our client is a well-established law and corporate services firm based in Nicosia, Cyprus, offering a broad range of legal, corporate, and financial services to an international client base. The firm operates to a high professional standard across multiple practice areas and has built a strong reputation for quality and client service over many years.
They are now looking to hire an experienced Auditor to join their Nicosia office, working across a varied portfolio of audit engagements spanning multiple industries.A strong opportunity for an ACCA/ACA qualified (or part-qualified) professional looking to develop within a structured, reputable firm with exposure to a wide range of clients and sectors.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of audit engagements, including analytical reviews, budgeting, planning, working papers, and financial statement preparation
- Take responsibility for completing assigned engagements and projects from start to finish
- Keep Audit Managers updated on progress throughout each assignment
- Request and review information submitted by clients, and follow up on any queries or missing documentation
- Ensure financial statements, client correspondence, and related documents are prepared in line with professional and firm standards
- Identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement in client systems, procedures, or operations and escalate to superiors
- Support and supervise junior staff
- Contribute to special projects as required
- Take on any additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- ACCA or ACA qualified or part-qualified
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Excellent command of both Greek and English, written and spoken
- Computer literate with excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Good knowledge of audit software and programmes
- Knowledge of accounts production software
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Resourceful and proactive
