Our client is seeking a Financial Controller to join their Accounting and Finance Department in Limassol. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing accounting operations, ensuring financial compliance, and supporting the financial performance of the business.

Responsibilities
- Review and manage accounting operations, including payments, journal entries, billing, general ledger postings, accounts payable and receivable, fixed asset ledger, reconciliations, VAT, and bank transactions
- Coordinate with members of the accounting team, providing guidance and support where required
- Prepare tax and VAT filings in accordance with statutory requirements
- Ensure proper accounting treatment for construction, development, and management contracts, including work-in-progress and revenue recognition
- Monitor tax and VAT matters and liaise with relevant authorities to ensure full compliance
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the CFO
- Prepare financial analyses relating to costs, creditors, and debtors
- Assist with budget preparation and cash flow projections
- Act as a key contact point with external auditors and coordinate audit processes
- Assist with the preparation of annual and interim financial reports, including financial statements
- Liaise with banks, insurance providers, and regulatory authorities when required
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal procedures, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Identify financial, accounting, or tax issues and propose appropriate solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ACCA or ACA qualification
- Previous experience within a Big Four accounting firm will be considered an advantage
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
