Finance Manager

Are you an experienced Finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and thrives in a fast-paced environment?
We're recruiting a standalone Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function of a growing technology business with a UK and international customer and supplier base. This is a hands-on role where you'll have full responsibility for the finance operation, working closely with the leadership team to ensure everything runs smoothly while supporting continued business growth.
We're looking for someone who can start quickly, hit the ground running and become a trusted member of the team from day one.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing the day-to-day finance function
- Raising invoices, managing purchase and sales ledgers, and overseeing credit control
- Completing bank reconciliations, VAT returns and cash flow management
- Processing monthly payroll, overtime and employee benefits and expenses
- Supporting month-end reporting and maintaining accurate financial records
- Taking ownership of the finance systems, ensuring accurate data, robust financial controls and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
About You:
You'll be an experienced Finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and working independently.
You'll have:
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role, ideally within an SME
- Strong knowledge of VAT, payroll, reconciliations and credit control
- Experience using finance systems such as NetSuite and/or Xero
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to manage a varied workload independently.
Qualifications:
AAT Level 4, CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualifications (or studying towards them) are welcomed, although we're equally keen to hear from candidates who are qualified by experience.
