We're looking for an experienced and highly organised Stock Controller to join our client's growing operations team in Hinckley, coordinating stock management across the UK and Europe.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who already has stock control, inventory, purchasing or supply chain experience and is looking for a varied role within a fast-paced and growing business. You'll take ownership of stock processes, work closely with suppliers and warehouse partners across Europe, and play a key role in ensuring products are available where and when they're needed.

You'll gain exposure to purchasing, logistics, customer service and international operations, working across multiple areas of the business and becoming a trusted member of a small but ambitious team.

What you'll be doing...

  • Raising, processing and maintaining purchase orders
  • Managing stock records, inventory spreadsheets and stock movements
  • Processing wholesale orders and preparing shipping documentation
  • Producing monthly stock reports for the Accounts team
  • Maintaining and updating the company's stock control system
  • Liaising with warehouse partners across Europe to coordinate stock movements and deliveries
  • Supporting annual stock takes and investigating discrepancies
  • Managing UK and European export logistics, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant
  • Working with veterinary and organic authorities to obtain export certification
  • Handling customer enquiries and occasional sales calls
  • Supporting the wider operations team with day-to-day administration and projects

What you'll need...

  • Previous experience within a Stock Controller, Inventory Controller, Purchasing, Supply Chain or similar role
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator with great customer service and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload
  • Positive, proactive and adaptable approach
  • Comfortable working within a small, supportive team
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly
  • Ability to identify issues, solve problems and make informed decisions
  • Experience of stock control systems; Microsoft Access experience would be advantageous

Why this role is awesome?

Our client is a busy and fast-moving business, so you'll never be short of variety. One day you could be coordinating stock shipments across Europe, the next analysing inventory data, managing supplier relationships or resolving operational challenges. It's an ideal role for someone who enjoys being kept busy, thrives on variety and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.

You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team that values initiative, trusts people to take ownership and encourages continuous improvement. For the right person, there is genuine scope to further develop your career and become a key part of the business's future growth.

If you're organised, commercially aware, enjoy solving problems and want a role where you can make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you!
