A permanent Security Engineer opportunity in Essex, paying £45,000 to £55,000. You will service, maintain and fault-find on electronic security systems, with a focus on intruder alarms, for a client who values quality workmanship.

The Role

This is a field-based Security Engineer position covering sites across Essex. You will plan your own visits, look after a portfolio of customers and be the engineer they trust to get the job done properly the first time.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain intruder alarm systems to a high standard
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective remedial work
• Complete planned preventative maintenance visits and reactive call-outs
• Test systems and keep accurate service records and reports
• Represent the company professionally on every customer visit

About You

• Proven experience servicing intruder alarm systems
• Confident fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Able to work independently and manage your own workload
• Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Recognised industry certifications, for example NSI, SSAIB or ECS
• Experience across commercial and industrial sites
