Our client, a rapidly growing company located in West Austin, is seeking a talented and motivated Building Design Structural Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and structural engineering of commercial, municipal, and academic buildings, utilizing Revit to develop comprehensive building models.
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed to specification, meeting quality standards, and adhering to project timelines. You will visit construction sites to monitor progress and ensure that work is being executed according to plans. Additionally, you will communicate project updates to both internal teams and external stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service to project owners and stakeholders. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior engineers, attend meetings, and contribute to the overall success of each project.
Experience
A minimum of 2 years of work experience in building design, including experience with commercial, municipal, and/or academic projects.
Must be a structural engineer with minimum of 2 years of work experience in building design (commercial, multifamily, retail, residential, municipal, etc.)
Job Responsibilities
- Design structural systems for commercial, municipal, and academic buildings using Revit.
- Conduct site visits to ensure construction is progressing as planned and according to design.
- Communicate project progress to internal teams and external groups.
- Collaborate with project owners to understand their design needs and provide solutions that align with their expectations.
- Attend meetings and provide support to Professional Engineers (PE) as needed.
