Location: Home based – covering Reading to Luton


Commutable from: Henley-on-Thames, Marlow, High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Amersham, Chesham, Aylesbury, Tring, Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, Harpenden, Dunstable and Luton


Salary: Up to £50,000 basic (DOE), £65,000 OTE + company van + qualification allowances + 25 days holiday + bank holidays + pension 


Embrace Associates are recruiting for an Electrician – Renewables to join a leading energy efficiency and retrofit installer, working across homes between Reading and Luton. This is a permanent, full-time, home-based role. You'll install, test, inspect and maintain domestic electrical systems that support heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage and modern heating controls.Our client delivers the full range of domestic energy efficiency measures, including heat pumps, solar PV, insulation and boilers, and has ambitious plans for growth. They invest in their people through an in-house sponsorship programme that funds additional trade qualifications. Engineers have retrained from gas to electrical, from heat pumps to gas, and from electrical to solar PV.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll work as part of a growing field team carrying out electrical installations, upgrades, inspections and maintenance in occupied domestic properties. Your work will focus on heat pumps, heating controls, solar PV and electric storage heaters. You'll take pride in safe, compliant work, careful certification and excellent customer care, keeping disruption to households to a minimum.


Key Responsibilities

•          Carry out electrical installations, upgrades, inspections and maintenance in domestic properties to a high standard

•          Install the electrical side of heat pumps, heating controls, solar PV and electric storage heaters

•          Complete thorough testing, certification and reporting on every job

•          Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and keep disruption to a minimum in occupied homes

•          Look after your tools, equipment and company van

•          Comply with all SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) policies and procedures


About You

Essential:

•          Qualified to BS7671:2018 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)

•          Proven experience of electrical installation in occupied domestic properties

•          High standards of workmanship and compliance, delivered efficiently

•          Excellent attention to detail, particularly with documentation and certification

•          Strong understanding of current legislation, standards and best practice

•          A professional, reliable and customer-focused approach

•          Able to work independently and as part of a wider team

•          Full UK driving licence


Desirable:

•          City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing

•          Solar PV installation experience and/or qualifications

•          Battery storage experience and/or qualifications


Sectors:
