Location: Fareham

Salary & Package: up to £50k basic / £70k-£75k OTE. Door to door pay, Van, Fuel card, Phone, Laptop, 31 days hol (inc BH)

We're working with a well-established building services provider who are looking to appoint a AC Team Leader to join their team. The business has built a strong reputation for quality and reliability, delivering air conditioning installation, servicing and maintenance projects across residential, commercial, MOD and industrial sites.


This role will accept Engineers looking to progress into a Team Leader role


This is a great opportunity for a hands-on AC engineer ready to take the next step, leading a small team on-site while continuing to work across a varied and technically interesting project mix.


The Role

As AC Team Leader, you'll be responsible for commissioning, servicing, installing, repairing and maintaining air conditioning systems across commercial, MOD and industrial buildings. You'll take the lead on-site, ensuring junior team members are competent, fully briefed and working safely, while continuing to support the technical department with day-to-day servicing for clients and manufacturers.


Key Responsibilities

•          Commission, service, install, repair and maintain air conditioning systems across commercial, MOD and industrial environments

•          Review building plans and specifications to determine air conditioning equipment requirements

•          Assist with the installation of HVAC control panels and leak detection systems

•          Design and install pipework containment systems, including containment for allied trades

•          Support the technical department with day-to-day servicing for clients and manufacturers

•          Ensure junior team members are competent, fully briefed and working safely in line with H&S guidelines

•          Order materials required to complete works

•          Maintain compliance with building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation

•          Assist in maintaining the company's F-Gas register and support progression toward Refcom Elite membership

•          Maintain manufacturer training requirements and assist with administration of Samsung, Mitsubishi, Daikin and other installer schemes

•          Provide training support to trainees 


About You

•          F-Gas qualified (essential)

•          Proven experience as an AC Engineer or Team Leader within a building services or HVAC contracting environment

•          Manufacturer training or accreditation with brands such as Samsung, Mitsubishi or Daikin advantageous

•          Experience leading or mentoring junior engineers on-site

•          Strong understanding of current building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation

•          Full UK driving licence required


You'll have experience installing and maintaining air conditioning systems across commercial, MOD and industrial projects, ideally within a building services or specialist HVAC contracting environment.
