Job Description
An established, accredited provider of fire protection and security systems is seeking an experienced multi-disciplined Fire & Security Engineer to join its growing team.
The successful candidate will work with a range of commercial and high-quality clients, carrying out installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding activities across fire and security systems.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding of fire and security systems.
Competent in fire alarm systems, access control systems, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems.
Experience with both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
Familiarity with industry-standard fire and security software.
Experience working with a range of intruder alarm platforms.
Experience with IP CCTV systems.
Experience with access control systems.
Experience with emergency lighting systems.
Strong understanding of current British Standards relating to fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control, CCTV, and emergency lighting.
Ability to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and recommend solutions independently.
Good IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Fire industry training certifications preferred
Proven experience with IP-based systems and networking.
Training and development opportunities will be provided to maintain knowledge of current standards and technologies.
Person Specifications
Right to work in the UK.
Full, clean driving licence.
ECS or CSCS card desirable.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Able to pass industry vetting requirements and enhanced DBS checks.
PASMA and IPAF certifications desirable.
Strong customer service skills.
Logical, diligent, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Good communication and administrative abilities.
