Fire Engineer – Façades Remediation

The Role

As Fire Engineer, you will provide fire engineering input across a portfolio of nationwide façade remediation projects, working closely with surveyors, façade engineers, contractors, and building owners to deliver safe, compliant, and practical remediation solutions.

This role suits someone who wants to build genuine specialism in façade fire safety, who takes a genuine interest in the evolving regulatory landscape, and who is motivated to grow into a leadership role as the team scales. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide fire engineering assessment and advice across façade and external wall remediation projects nationwide.
• Prepare fire strategies, risk assessments, and remediation specifications in line with UK Building Regulations.
• Interpret and apply Approved Document B, the Building Safety Act, PAS 9980, and BS 8414 fire test data to real-world remediation scenarios.
• Work closely with façade specialists, contractors, and clients to develop pragmatic remediation solutions.
• Liaise with Building Control and the Building Safety Regulator as required.
• Stay current with fast-moving changes in fire safety legislation, guidance, and industry best practice.
• Contribute to the technical development of the wider team, supporting junior colleagues as the business grows.
• Represent the company professionally on client calls, site visits, and project meetings. 

What We're Looking For

• Proven fire engineering experience, ideally with exposure to façade or cladding remediation.
• Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and current fire safety legislation.
• A genuine interest in façade fire safety and a willingness to keep learning as the industry evolves.
• Ambition to develop into a leading technical voice within the business and the wider industry.
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage clients, contractors, and regulators.
• Comfortable working across a nationwide project base, with travel as required.
