Job Summary
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – 5:30 pm (35 hours per week). Flexible working arrangements, including office, home, and client sites. Annual Leave: 23 days of leave (excluding bank holidays), increasing by one day per year of service, up to a maximum of 28 days. Role Overview An excellent opportunity has opened up for a mid to senior-level audit professional within a well-respected accountancy and advisory organisation. This role is primarily focused on auditing (75%) with supplementary responsibilities in accounts and tax (25%), serving a variety of owner-managed businesses across different sectors, including group audits. Responsibilities: Using a risk-based approach to identify potential issues and develop audit strategies Conducting audit testing at client sites Applying professional judgement and scepticism during audit processes Addressing and resolving accounting and audit issues Preparing statutory accounts, initial tax computations, and consolidations Working closely with senior team members Managing assignments independently to meet deadlines and budgets Ensuring audit quality standards are upheld in accordance with regulatory and internal guidelines Engaging in continuous professional development through training and hands-on experience Delivering excellent client service Contributing to the growth of the London office Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will: Studying with ACA or ACCA within an accountancy practice Have significant, client-facing audit experience from planning to completion Possess robust technical knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102 (IFRS knowledge is a plus) Be proficient with statutory accounts and audit software (e.g., CCH, Pro-Audit, Xero preferred) Be skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Exhibit excellent communication skills, a personable approach, and a proactive attitude Be willing to travel as required Perks Pension scheme Group life assurance (4x salary) Flexible working arrangements (office, home, and client sites) Regular team events Access to an employee benefits portal (cashback and vouchers for everyday purchases) Employee referral bonus Employee Assistance Programme Continuous training and development for both professional and personal advancement Contact If you feel like you are suitable for the role, please apply directly or contact ryan@elitesearchrec.co.uk If this job isn’t quite right for you, but you know someone who would be great at this role, why not take advantage of our referral scheme?
