Project Manager – Retail & Restaurant Construction
This is an in-office role: (DALLAS FORT-WORTH METROPLEX)
A well-established national project services organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction, remodel, and rollout projects for recognizable retail and restaurant brands. This position is ideal for a project manager who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environment and understands the complexities of completing construction work within active consumer-facing locations.
The Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between clients, internal teams, field personnel, subcontractors, and other project partners to ensure successful execution from planning through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple construction, remodel, and rollout projects simultaneously from initiation through completion.
- Develop project objectives, schedules, work plans, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate project activities between internal teams, field personnel, contractors, subcontractors, architects, consultants, and other project partners.
- Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays, risks, material issues, and other challenges that may impact execution.
- Manage project budgets, expenses, and financial performance while minimizing project exposure and risk.
- Review project plans, scopes, schedules, and deliverables to ensure client expectations are met.
- Conduct periodic project site visits and inspections as needed.Lead project status meetings and maintain consistent communication with all stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, quality expectations, and safety requirements.
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential project issues that could result in disputes, claims, delays, or additional costs.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and professionally manage client questions, concerns, and project updates.
- Review project deliverables prior to submission to the client.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining composure and sound decision-making in a fast-moving environment.
- Successfully plan, execute, and close multiple projects within established timelines.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate has strong experience managing retail, restaurant, or other consumer-facing construction projects, particularly remodels, renovations, and multi-location rollout programs. Candidates should be comfortable managing several projects at once and coordinating work involving multiple subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and client stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of Construction Project Management experience.
- Experience managing retail, restaurant, or similar commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction, remodeling, renovations, and multi-site rollout programs.
- Experience managing projects from planning through execution and closeout.
- Strong understanding of project schedules, budgets, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship-management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with project management or construction-related technology platforms preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
Ideal Experience
Candidates with experience supporting multi-location retail or restaurant remodels, renovations, refreshes, conversions, or rollout programs are strongly preferred.
This role is best suited for someone accustomed to managing construction projects in fast-moving environments where maintaining schedules, coordinating multiple parties, resolving issues quickly, and protecting the client experience are critical to success.
