Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Travel Agent to join our team. The Travel Agent will be responsible for assisting clients with planning and booking their travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, tours, transportation, and travel insurance. The ideal candidate is resourceful, organized, and passionate about delivering excellent service while creating memorable travel experiences for clients.


Key Responsibilities


Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budgets, and special requirements.


Research and present travel options, including destinations, accommodations, flights, tours, and activities.


Book travel reservations and ensure accuracy of details including pricing, schedules, and confirmations.


Provide clients with travel documents, itineraries, and important destination information.


Offer advice on visas, passports, travel insurance, safety regulations, and cultural practices.


Manage cancellations, changes, and emergencies while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.


Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.


Stay updated on travel industry trends, new destinations, and promotional deals from airlines, hotels, and tour operators.


Maintain accurate records of client interactions, bookings, and payments.


Qualifications


Previous experience as a Travel Agent, Travel Consultant, or in a related customer service role preferred.


Strong knowledge of domestic and international travel regulations, destinations, and booking systems (GDS/Amadeus/Sabre a plus).


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage last-minute changes.


Proficiency with booking platforms, Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and CRM systems.


High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in travel/tourism or hospitality are a plus.
