Position Overview
The Grant Writer & Grant Manager will play a critical role in supporting DSGSH’s fundraising strategy by researching, writing, and managing grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources. This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about youth development and social justice, and who can produce high-quality proposals in a small, mission-driven organization. This is a part-time, contract position requiring approximately 5 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify new grant opportunities that align with DSGSH’s mission and priorities.
- Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports for funders.
- Maintain and update the organization’s grants calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Track and manage post-award reporting requirements and deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Founder & CEO to gather program data, impact metrics, and success stories for use in proposals and reports.
- Assist with preparing budgets and supporting documentation for grant submissions.
- Help build and maintain relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders.
