A busy and well-established coastal pub with rooms in a sought-after North Cornwall location is looking to recruit a talented Chef de Partie / Sous Chef to strengthen its kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chef de Partie looking to step up or a Sous Chef seeking a fresh challenge in a high-volume, quality-led environment.


The Role

Working closely with the Head Chef, the successful Chef de Partie / Sous Chef will play a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes across a varied menu focused on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The kitchen operates at pace, particularly during peak holiday periods, so strong organisation and teamwork are essential.


This Chef de Partie / Sous Chef role offers the chance to develop skills, contribute to menu ideas, and be part of a supportive brigade in a thriving hospitality setting.


Key Responsibilities

Run your section efficiently as Chef de Partie / Sous Chef, ensuring consistency and quality.

Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.

Assist with preparation and service during busy periods.

Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.

Help with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.

Contribute ideas towards menu development and specials.

Support and mentor junior members of the team.


Key Requirements

Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a fresh food environment.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.

Team player with a positive attitude.

Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

Passion for fresh, seasonal cooking.
