Up to £38,000 per year

Permanent – 4 days on / 3 days off

Live-in available (£77 per week, all-inclusive)


A coastal hotel with panoramic sea views is recruiting a Hotel Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, fresh food with a focus on simplicity, flavour, and seasonality. This is an excellent opportunity for a Hotel Sous Chef to join a relaxed but professional kitchen environment.


The Hotel Sous Chef will deputise in the Head Chef’s absence and help lead the kitchen team, ensuring standards are consistently met during service. This role suits a confident Hotel Sous Chef who enjoys working with fresh produce in a busy hotel kitchen.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and deputise for the Head Chef
  • Supervise and guide Chef de Parties
  • Manage stock levels and quality control
  • Maintain discipline, fairness, and strong team communication
  • Ensure all hygiene, food safety, and company standards are met
  • Check dishes for quality, presentation, and temperature
  • Support training and development of junior chefs


Key Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Hotel Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP in a hotel environment
  • Fresh food background essential
  • Able to work a rota and handle busy services
  • Passion for food and strong teamwork skills
  • Calm, professional manner under pressure
  • Rosette experience an advantage
