A leading luxury hotel in Devon is recruiting a Pastry Chef de Partie to take responsibility for all pastry and dessert production within its professional kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for a Pastry Chef de Partie to work in a high-end hotel environment overlooking Sidmouth Bay.
The Pastry Chef de Partie will lead all baking and dessert preparation, working closely with the Head Chef to design and develop menus. This role suits a creative Pastry Chef de Partie with strong organisational skills and a passion for high-quality pastry work.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all pastry and baking duties within the kitchen
Design and develop dessert menus with the Head Chef
Produce high-quality desserts using fresh ingredients
Regularly refresh and update dessert offerings
Manage stock and inventory for the pastry section
Train and support junior chefs when required
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards
Assist other kitchen sections when required
Create unique desserts specific to the restaurant
Key Requirements:
Experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie in a quality hotel kitchen
Strong fresh-food background essential
Creative approach to dessert and menu development
High attention to cleanliness and food safety
Ability to work as part of a large brigade
Rosette experience an advantage
