Connective Careers Pathways is recruiting on behalf of a children's residential care provider in Derby for an experienced Senior Residential Care Practitioner to join a 2-bed children's residential home.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced residential childcare professional looking to take the next step in their career and help lead a dedicated team supporting children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
- Lead and support the staff team to deliver outstanding care.
- Promote positive outcomes and safeguard the welfare of young people.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Act as a positive role model and mentor to colleagues.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year's experience managing or leading a team within a children's residential setting.
- Strong knowledge and experience within children's residential care.
- Relevant qualification in line with children's residential care regulations.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
Working Pattern
- 3-week rolling rota.
- Average of 10 shifts per month.
- Shift pattern: 08:00 – 23:00, sleep-in, followed by handover 08:00 – 08:30 the following day.
- Average monthly hours: 244.5 hours, including training and team meetings.
- Annual leave entitlement: 360 hours.
