Connective Careers Pathways are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established children's residential care provider for a Senior Therapeutic Care Practitioner to join their solo home in Warrington.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an existing, stable team within a service that has recently achieved a 'Good' Ofsted rating following inspection on 3rd & 4th June 2026.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified residential childcare professional who is passionate about making a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people.

About the Role

As a Senior Therapeutic Care Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people within a therapeutic residential setting. You will lead by example, support colleagues on shift, and help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that promotes positive outcomes and resilience.

Key responsibilities include:#

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at all times.

Leading shifts and ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the home.

Supporting children and young people through therapeutic and relationship-based practice.

Acting as a positive role model and maintaining high professional standards.

Delivering key worker responsibilities and direct work interventions.

Supporting, mentoring and developing less experienced team members.

Attending reviews, meetings and professional consultations.

Ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and company policies.

Contributing to care planning, reports, reviews and placement outcomes.

Essential Requirements✅

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification)✅

Previous experience working within a children's residential care setting✅

Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs✅ Sound understanding of safeguarding, children's home regulations and therapeutic practice✅

Full UK Driving Licence
