Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour, depending on experience


We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Family Support Worker to join a 4-bed assessment unit in Hendon. This is a full-time role supporting residents during a structured 12-week assessment period.As a Family Support Worker, you will help provide a safe, supportive, and professional environment for young mothers and families who may be experiencing complex needs, including domestic abuse, substance misuse, and parenting-related challenges.


The Family Support Worker role is ideal for someone with experience in supported housing, social care, family support, youth work, or a similar setting

Our client’s service includes:A 4-bed assessment unit based in Hendon

12-week assessment placements

Support for residents with complex needs

Work with young mothers and families

Observations and reports that contribute to social worker assessments


Key Responsibilities

As a Family Support Worker, you will:

Support residents throughout their 12-week assessment placement

Help maintain a safe, stable, and respectful living environment

Work with residents affected by domestic abuse, substance misuse, and other challenges

Observe and record residents’ progress, behaviour, and day-to-day routines

Complete accurate daily notes, incident records, and professional reports

Share relevant information with the wider team to support assessments

Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately

Encourage residents to engage positively with support plans and routines

Work as part of a team to promote positive outcomes


About You

Our client is looking for a Family Support Worker who is:

Experienced in supported housing, social care, family support, youth work, or a similar setting

Confident writing clear, factual, and professional records

Calm and professional when managing challenging situations

Understanding of safeguarding and the needs of vulnerable families

Compassionate, reliable, and able to build positive working relationships

Able to work well as part of a team

Committed to maintaining professional boundaries and confidentialityWhat’s on OfferFull-time role, 40 hours per week
