Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home

Location: Sittingbourne

Salary: £36,000 per year

Hours: 36 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins where required)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a children’s residential home in Sittingbourne. This is a great opportunity for someone with residential childcare experience who is ready to take on additional responsibility and support the leadership of the home.

The Role

You will work closely with the management team to support the day-to-day running of the home while providing high-quality care and guidance to children and young people. You will also lead shifts and support other members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead shifts and support the residential care team

Provide direct care and support to young people

Help implement care plans and support positive outcomes

Ensure safeguarding and care standards are maintained

Support and mentor Residential Support Workers

Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements

Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (essential)

Previous experience working within a children’s residential setting

Experience leading shifts or supporting junior staff

Strong communication and organisational skills
