Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Sittingbourne
Salary: £32,000 per year
Hours: 36 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins where required)We are currently recruiting for Residential Support Workers to join a children’s residential home in Sittingbourne. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people who may have experienced difficult circumstances and need a safe, stable and supportive environment.
The Role
You will work as part of a team providing day-to-day care, guidance and encouragement to help young people develop life skills, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport young people with daily routines and activities
Promote a safe, caring and structured home environment
Build positive and trusting relationships with young people
Support education, hobbies and independence skills
Keep accurate records and contribute to care plans
Work in line with safeguarding policies and Children’s Homes Regulations
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people is desirable
Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or willingness to work towards it)
A caring, patient and resilient approach
Ability to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins
