You'll work alongside experienced engineering professionals, helping to identify and manage geotechnical risks while ensuring the long-term resilience and safety of critical infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement asset management strategies that align with organisational objectives and industry standards.
  • Commission and oversee site investigations, surveys, and technical studies.
  • Review and approve technical reports, specifications, drawings, and engineering recommendations.
  • Support the development and management of project and maintenance budgets.
  • Drive innovation and best practice in asset management, data quality, and engineering performance.
  • Mentor and support engineers within the wider team.

About You

You will ideally have:

  • A degree (or higher qualification) in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant professional institution such as the Geological Society, ICE, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, or infrastructure asset management.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical design principles, risk management, and relevant industry standards.
  • Experience managing earthworks, slopes, embankments, ground stability, and drainage-related geotechnical issues.
  • Proven ability to make sound technical decisions and prioritise asset investment.
  • Experience overseeing surveys, investigations, and multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing project or maintenance budgets.

What's on Offer

  • Hybrid working arrangement.
  • Opportunity to influence the management of a large and complex infrastructure asset portfolio.
  • Leadership role within a highly skilled engineering team.
