Move from delivering nuclear technology… to deciding which technologies shape the future of the sector.
We are supporting the development of a nuclear-focused investment and advisory platform operating across advanced reactors, the nuclear supply chain, and broader energy-transition infrastructure.
They are now seeking a Head of Nuclear Technology to operate at the intersection of engineering depth and capital allocation. Perhaps you have spent years inside a vendor, consultancy, utility, or advanced reactor developer. You understand reactor physics, licensing pathways, supply-chain fragility, and programme risk. But you may increasingly find yourself asking bigger questions:Which technologies are truly investable?
Which supply-chain propositions are scalable?
Which reactor programmes will realistically reach deployment? This role moves you upstream — into technical due diligence, technology assessment, and portfolio strategy. You would assess advanced reactor concepts and nuclear supply-chain propositions. You would support investment decisions through structured technical evaluation. You would engage directly with founders, investors, and senior stakeholders. And you would help shape how capital flows into nuclear technologies across EMEA and beyond.
The work spans:
Advanced reactor technologies (Gen III+, Gen IV, SMR/AMR concepts)
Fuel cycle and enabling technologies
Nuclear-grade manufacturing and supply-chain capability
Infrastructure linked to the energy transition
This is not a pure engineering role — and it is not a financial modelling role either. It requires deep nuclear credibility, systems-level thinking, and the judgement to translate technical complexity into investment clarity.
Minimum expectations:
Significant nuclear-sector experience (vendor, developer, consultancy, utility, or regulator)
Strong understanding of reactor technologies and/or nuclear systems
Experience contributing to technical assessments, safety cases, design reviews, or programme delivery
Ability to engage credibly with senior technical and commercial stakeholders
Exposure to advanced reactors, licensing strategy, or supply-chain development is highly valuable.
Different engagement models are possible — executive, advisory, or staged — depending on background and availability. If you are technically deep but strategically curious — and interested in influencing where capital flows within nuclear — we would value a conversation.
Capax Mundi supports organisations and professionals shaping the future of nuclear energy and the global energy transition.
