Move your electrical design expertise into long-lifecycle, low-carbon infrastructure.
We’re supporting a confidential organisation delivering a new-build, safety-critical energy programme in the South West UK.
As part of this programme, they’re building a dedicated Electrical Design team to support complex plant design from the earliest stages.
This is a hands-on electrical design role, focused on power distribution and system integration across LV, MV, and HV environments. You’ll be involved in developing one-line diagrams, load lists, and interfaces at a point in the lifecycle where engineering judgement genuinely shapes the outcome.
If you’re currently working in Oil & Gas or wider energy, you may value the technical challenge but feel increasingly conscious of project volatility, short asset lives, or limited long-term relevance.
This role offers a different trajectory — one grounded in stable delivery, rigorous engineering, and infrastructure designed to operate for decades. You’ll join a growing, technically influential design team working on safety-critical plant, with exposure to early-phase decision-making rather than downstream red-lining.
The programme is long-term, UK-based, and deliberately structured to build enduring capability. If you have experience in electrical design for complex plant and want to apply it in a more sustainable setting — environmentally and professionally — we’d be glad to have a conversation.
Capax Mundi supports engineers exploring thoughtful, long-term career moves across the energy transition.
