I&C Engineer – Contract (Major Infrastructure, NL)
Contract | Minimum 6 months – likely 12 months+ | Amsterdam
Experienced Instrumentation & Control Engineer required for a major infrastructure programme in the Netherlands.
This is a hands-on contract role with real technical ownership, covering I&C systems alongside communications, LAN, telephony, and secure infrastructure. You’ll work close to site and contractors, ensuring systems are designed, delivered, and commissioned to high safety and quality standards.
Scope
• Technical oversight of I&C and communications systems
• Contractor supervision through design, implementation, and commissioning
• Requirements definition, design acceptance, change control, and issue resolution
• Interface management across multiple plant and building systems
Systems in Scope
• I&C for building management, HVAC, fire protection, utilities
• LAN, telephony, and secure communications infrastructure
• Nuclear-related systems including hot cells and transfer instrumentation
Requirements
• 5+ years’ experience in I&C engineering on large industrial or infrastructure projects
• Comfortable working on site and managing contractors
• Strong system-level thinking and documentation discipline
• Professional working Dutch and English
