We are supporting a leading engineering consultancy active across nuclear and energy infrastructure projects in the Netherlands. This is a permanent, hybrid role suited to an early-career engineer who wants to build a long-term career in a regulated, safety-critical environment. This opportunity is designed for engineers who want to grow beyond a single technical discipline and develop into well-rounded Project Engineers within a consulting context — learning how complex engineering work is coordinated, assured, and delivered across multidisciplinary teams. As a Project Engineer, you will support senior engineers and technical leads in coordinating engineering activities across nuclear projects. Your focus will be on helping translate scope and requirements into structured, well-documented engineering outputs that stand up in a regulated environment. Depending on the project, your work may include: Supporting interface and requirements management
Assisting with technical documentation such as calculations, design notes, specifications, and engineering reports
Contributing to design reviews, assurance activities, and project coordination
Gaining exposure to different stages of the project lifecycle, from early studies and design through to delivery support.
This is a development role within an engineering consultancy. You will be supported and mentored as you build technical judgement, a consulting mindset, and confidence working across disciplines and stakeholders. We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering or Science-related subjects
Approximately 2–5 years of industry experience
Strong technical fundamentals and a structured approach to problem solving
An interest in developing within an engineering consulting environment
Fluency in English is essential and in Dutch is preferred.
Exposure to nuclear or other regulated industries is beneficial, but not essential.
If you are an early-career engineer looking to develop breadth, responsibility, and long-term progression within nuclear engineering, we would be pleased to speak with you.
Capax Mundi supports organisations across nuclear energy and the wider energy transition, with a calm, people-first approach to career development.
