Job Summary

Are you excited by the idea of helping bring new nuclear technology from concept to reality?

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing advanced nuclear developer working on one of Europe’s most innovative small modular reactor (SMR) programmes.

As the Testing & Qualification Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that new systems, components, and materials meet nuclear codes, standards, and regulatory expectations. You’ll design qualification strategies, define test programmes, coordinate external laboratories, and work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams pushing the boundaries of what nuclear technology can become.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a product-development environment, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and wants to contribute to the clean-energy transition in a meaningful, tangible way. You’ll join an international team with deep technical roots and a mission to deploy scalable, safe, low-carbon power for industry and society.

Relocation support is available, and the position offers the chance to influence one of Europe’s most exciting long-term nuclear programmes from its early stages.

Company Summary
Our client is a Swedish advanced-reactor company developing a new class of lead-cooled small modular reactors (SMRs). Originating from over two decades of research at one of Europe’s leading technical universities, the company is now transitioning into commercial industrialisation. Their first reactor design is a compact, factory-produced SMR concept intended to deliver clean, reliable baseload energy and support decarbonisation of heavy industry, hydrogen production, and high-temperature processes. The technology uses a lead coolant, enabling passive safety, low-pressure operation, and long fuel residence times. Backed by strong industrial partners and a rapidly growing engineering team, the company is building the capabilities required to deliver a new generation of nuclear technology for the 2030s and beyond.
