We're working with a fast-growing, director-led project and commercial consultancy to find an experienced Project Director to lead delivery on major civil infrastructure programmes across the UK.
This is a senior leadership role for someone confident owning client relationships, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and carrying full accountability for commercial and programme outcomes on high-value schemes. You'll lead commercial and delivery strategy across a portfolio of infrastructure projects (ranging from nuclear, water, energy etc), act as the senior client contact and oversee governance and reporting at programme level.
You'll lead and develop commercial teams including QS's and contract managers, drive procurement strategy, risk management and value engineering across CAPEX and OPEX and provide senior oversight on NEC contract administration, compensation events and change control.
At first, project delivery is key but in time, you will be given support to win new work/commissions which will contribute to becoming board director. We're looking for significant leadership experience delivering major infrastructure projects, ideally within energy, transport, water or nuclear sectors, with a strong track record on NEC contracts including cost-reimbursable/Option E.
You'll have progressed from senior QS/commercial management into programme or project leadership, hold RICS accreditation (or be working towards it) and bring strong stakeholder management skills with the gravitas to influence at director level.
Experience with CEMAR or similar contract management systems is a plus.
In return, you'll receive:
- Competitive base salary
- Car allowance
- Bonus scheme
- Pension scheme
- Private healthcare and death in service insurance
- Maternity and paternity benefits
- Childcare and pension salary sacrifice schemes
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- A genuine seat at the table in a growing, director-led business with an open-door culture
