We are currently recruiting a Home Automation Service Engineer to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of smart home systems for high-end residential clients.

This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with experience in connected home technologies who enjoys working directly with customers to deliver reliable, high-performance automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve faults across home automation systems including lighting control, climate control, security, AV integration, and networking.
• Perform routine service visits, preventative maintenance, and system health checks.
• Support system upgrades, expansions, and software updates.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to residential clients.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, fault reports, and maintenance records.
• Liaise with project managers, installation teams, and manufacturers to resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with company standards and health and safety regulations.
• Deliver professional, customer-focused service and provide user guidance when required.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in home automation, smart home integration, or residential AV service support.
• Strong working knowledge of control systems (e.g., Control4, Crestron Home, Savant, Lutron, KNX or similar platforms).
• Experience supporting IP networks, Wi-Fi systems, and connected devices.
• Ability to diagnose system faults efficiently and provide effective technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage service schedules effectively.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to residential client sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Manufacturer certifications (Control4, Crestron, Lutron, Savant, KNX, etc.)
• Experience working in high-end residential environments
• CTS or relevant smart home industry certifications
