Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated AV Installation Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining high-quality audiovisual systems for corporate, education, and enterprise clients. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver projects on time while maintaining excellent client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure AV systems including video conferencing solutions, digital signage, presentation systems, control systems, and sound systems.
- Interpret and implement project documentation, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Test and commission AV systems to ensure they meet design specifications and client expectations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation and configuration issues on-site efficiently.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technical teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain high standards of safety and compliance on-site at all times.
- Provide clients with basic training and handover documentation on installed systems.
- Support ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and post-installation support as required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an AV Installation Engineer, AV Technician, or similar role within AV systems integration.
- Hands-on experience with AV equipment such as displays, projectors, cameras, speakers, control systems, and networked AV devices.
- Strong knowledge of AV cabling standards (HDMI, SDI, CAT6, fiber) and system integration best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills and a professional, client-facing demeanor.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and work flexible hours when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AV control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron, etc.)
- Experience in video conferencing system installation (Teams, Zoom Rooms, Cisco, Poly, etc.)
- CTS or other AV-related certifications
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP, VLANs, Dante audio networking)
