Job Summary
An established technology solutions provider operating across the Middle East is seeking an experienced AV Design Lead / AV Solutions Manager to oversee the design, integration, and delivery of complex audiovisual systems. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, pre-sales support, and cross-functional collaboration.The successful candidate will play a key role in driving high-quality AV solutions, mentoring design engineers, and ensuring projects are delivered to industry standards, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
AV System Design & Integration
- `Lead the design and integration of advanced audiovisual systems to meet organisational and client requirements
- Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide tailored technical solutions
- Oversee AV installations and integrations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Support pre-sales activities, including preparation of Statements of Functionality (SOF) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Produce detailed technical documentation, including system schematics, flow diagrams, and labour estimations
Pre-Sales & Project Support
- Provide technical support to pre-sales teams on AV system architecture, product selection, and solution design
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure alignment from design through delivery
- Review SOF and BOQ documentation with Project Managers to ensure smooth handover post-award
- Communicate client or third-party dependencies clearly to mitigate project delays
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the AV design team to ensure consistent quality and performance
- Allocate tasks based on project scope, deadlines, and team capability
- Support recruitment and onboarding of AV design engineers
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Oversee quality assurance across all AV designs, installations, and integrations
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal best practices
- Maintain accountability for technical accuracy, reliability, and system performance
Technical Authority & Continuous Improvement
- Act as the technical point of escalation for AV design-related matters
- Support cross-departmental troubleshooting and vendor evaluations
- Monitor emerging AV technologies and industry trends, integrating innovative solutions where appropriate
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency across AV design and delivery
