Job Summary
Responsible for operating fixed and mobile plant in the production of asphalt, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, quality, efficiency, and environmental compliance. Reporting to the site management team, this role requires a proactive approach to plant operations, maintenance, and process optimisation
Experience
Experience in depot operations, plant maintenance, and mobile plant operation.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct and record pre-work inspections
- Identify and report defective equipment
- Maintain plant safety and efficiency through housekeeping and maintenance
- Operate the asphalt plant to BSI:9001 standards.
- Manage aggregate stockpiles and loading shovel operations
- Drive safely in line with vehicle management plans
- Minimise costs and environmental impact
- Assist the Depot Supervisor as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures
- Load and dispatch materials safely
- Report near misses and attend safety meetings
- Provide weighbridge cover when required
