Our client is looking for a Responsible Gambling Officer to join its Compliance team in Douglas on a permanent, full-time basis.

In this role you will analyse customer behaviour and activity in depth, identify and escalate high-risk accounts at the earliest opportunity, and help prevent and detect multi-accounting. You will speak with customers by email, live chat and telephone to make sure they are gambling responsibly, talking through their account activity and the tools available to help them stay in control. You will also carry out affordability testing, complete enhanced customer due diligence in line with AML and CFT requirements on accounts escalated from the Member Support and Operational teams, resolve escalated customer queries, and keep accurate, timely records.

No previous compliance, risk or gambling experience is needed, as full training will be provided, including on Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, UK Gambling Commission and Jersey Gambling Commission requirements.

This could suit an A-level school leaver as well as an experienced candidate. You will need at least five GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above, strong analytical and organisational skills, confident Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and excellent written and spoken English. You should be methodical, proactive and detail-focused, comfortable working both independently and in a team, and able to communicate well with difficult customers while keeping to the highest standards of integrity. The team works a shift rota equivalent to 35 hours a week over five days, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility is essential.
