Job Summary
We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff to join our clients' founding team and to take on AI research responsibilities. This is a hands-on research and development role that involves designing, implementing, and evaluating state-of-the-art perceptual AI models for self-supervised visual representation learning.
You will collaborate with industry and academia, work with large-scale video datasets, and devise novel applications of vision transformers to push the boundaries of perceptual AI.
This role is ideal for creative thinkers and tinkerers who thrive in an early-stage startup environment, are passionate about cutting-edge and human-inspired AI research, and want to contribute to both foundational scientific and product development.
Experience
Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
Strong software engineering and cloud computing principles.
Experience working with large-scale video datasets and designing efficient training pipelines.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills, with experience in probabilistic modeling and optimization techniques.
Passion for research and innovation, with a drive to translate cutting-edge AI into real-world applications.
(Preferred)
PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related fields. (Note: Masters students with exceptional aptitude, curiosity and creativity are encouraged to apply.)
Strong background in self-supervised learning, vision transformers, and deep learning architectures.
Familiarity with multi-object detection and tracking (MODT) techniques.
Hands-on experience with 3D AI techniques such as depth estimation, SfM, Gaussian splatting, and 6 DoF pose estimation.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement and develop state-of-the-art models for self-supervised, instance-level semantic, functional, spatial and relational representation learning.
- Research and develop solutions for 3D AI tasks such as depth estimation, Structure-from-Motion (SfM), Gaussian Splatting, 6 DoF pose estimation, and visual affordance estimation.
- Apply vision transformers to enhance spatial reasoning and 3D object/scene understanding.
- Work with large-scale video datasets, designing efficient data pipelines for training and evaluation.
- Contribute to software, AI, cloud, and data engineering efforts to integrate research models into scalable production systems.
- Keep abreast with cutting-edge AI research.
