Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Contracts Specialist to support contract and subcontract administration, as well as procurement functions throughout the full lifecycle of the procurement process—including pre-award, award, and post-award phases. Responsibilities include managing correspondence, conducting negotiations, generating subcontracts, overseeing contract close-out, maintaining files, and engaging with various internal managers and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess foundational experience in acquisition and procurement, demonstrate the ability to work independently, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Experience
Our client requires prior experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) environment. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Job Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, coordinate, and maintain comprehensive procurement documentation.
- Ensure all procurement practices, transactions, and documentation adhere to company policies, contract requirements, and applicable government regulations.
- Review and process procurement requisitions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop, coordinate, and produce a wide range of procurement documentation, including solicitations, evaluations, and award justifications.
- Establish and maintain organized procurement files, including tracking subcontractor deliverables and performance.
- Solicit, obtain, and evaluate proposals and quotations; assess offeror responsiveness, responsibility, and eligibility for award; participate in and/or lead discussions and negotiations; determine source selections.
- Interface and coordinate with subcontractors, contractors, internal departments, and cross-functional teams to support procurement activities.
- Maintain a well-organized filing system and manage correspondence related to contracts and procurement matters.
- Draft and initiate teaming agreements and non-disclosure agreements with prospective business and teaming partners.
- Review and analyze contract documents and related correspondence in response to government solicitations.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of contract and procurement functions.
