About the Company:
We are a fast-growing software company dedicated to supporting and developing a leading open-source, proof-of-stake public ledger. Our network is EVM-compatible and specifically architected to meet the rigorous demands of enterprise and Web3 applications, prioritizing speed, security, stability, and sustainability. Uniquely in the industry, our public network is governed by a council of world-leading organizations spanning multiple sectors and regions, ensuring the long-term stability and direction of the decentralized platform.
About the Role:
We’re hiring a hands-on, deeply technical product leader to own the roadmap for the network’s Core Services—specifically Tokenization (FT/NFT/RWAs), Smart Contracts, Consensus, and Developer APIs (SDKs, Public APIs, Network Nodes).
This role is modeled after the “Technical PM” archetype: you will operate as a peer to Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers, co-authoring technical specifications and Network Improvement Proposals. You will build quick prototypes to evaluate product ideas and deliver features with excellent documentation and a delightful developer experience.
You will operate within a transparent open-source model—shaping public roadmaps, triaging GitHub issues in public repositories, engaging community contributors, and partnering closely with Developer Advocates and DevRel teams to turn real-world builder feedback into concrete requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Roadmap Ownership: Own the roadmap for Core Services and Platform primitives (Native Token Services, EVM/Smart Contracts, Consensus Services, SDKs, Node infrastructure, and more), defining goals and prioritizing backlogs.
- Technical Specification: Co-author design documents and Improvement Proposals (RFCs/IPs) with Engineering Managers and Architects; define network fees, throttles, and ensure backward compatibility, migrations, and security constraints.
- Prototyping: Build prototypes to evaluate product ideas (create sample apps and test endpoints) and shepherd features from inception to launch and iteration.
- Open Source Operations: Maintain roadmaps and milestones, triage/label GitHub issues, run design reviews, respond to technical discussions, and grow external contributors.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with DevRel and Engineering to turn builder feedback into requirements and set content priorities (code labs, examples, workshops).
- Community Engagement: Engage the community of builders through office hours, proposal shepherding, hackathons, and Discord/GitHub presence; convert common pain points into code fixes or documentation.
- Readiness & Quality: Lead launch reviews, incident postmortems, and backward-compatibility plans; coordinate with Security on disclosures and with the Release team on monthly planning.
Qualification Requirements:
- Experience: 8–12+ years in Product Management (or equivalent), including 5+ years working on deeply technical platforms (distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, databases, or blockchain protocols).
- Engineering Credibility: You must be a credible partner to Engineering Managers and Architects, comfortable with complex design docs, trade-off discussions, and reading/co-authoring code documents.
- Systems Fluency: Deep understanding of APIs, SDKs, and back-end systems. You should be able to reason about consensus, transaction handling, state management, performance, concurrency, observability, and usability.
- Track Record: A history of shipping enterprise-grade software and developer platforms with measurable outcomes.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on familiarity with at least one of Java, Kotlin, Go, or TypeScript (readability and ability to create demos is prioritized over production-level coding).
- Communication: Excellent written communication (technical specs, RFCs) and customer discovery skills with both Web3 natives and Enterprise customers.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in open-source leadership (maintainer, triage champion, release management).
- Prior exposure to Layer 1 / Layer 2 blockchain ecosystems.
- Domain depth in one or more: Tokenization/RWAs, DeFi primitives, Payments, Smart Contracts, Identity/DIDs, or Compliance.
- Proven success partnering with DevRel to create content, samples, and user guides.
Preferred Work Style:
Open-source by default: Plans, issues, and design discussions are public whenever feasible.
Embedded with Engineering: PMs sit in design/PR reviews, actively contribute, and iterate in thin, testable slices.
Builder-obsessed: We "dogfood" using solo/local development environments, prioritize developer experience (DX), and deliver complete features with docs, examples, and migration paths.
Ecosystem-driven: We collaborate with a community of builders, network partners, and enterprise governance members to make pragmatic choices.
